About The Department

IT is playing an important role in growth of the country today and Bihar is participating as one of the major player in IT sector of the country.

All this is being done under the administrative control of the Department of Information Technology (DIT) which was established in the year 2007.

The Department of Information Technology is also the guiding force for other departments of the state for the usage and deployment of Technology enabled services for their benefits and benefits of their consumers.

We have set up a private cloud to provide better application hosting services to various Departments of Government of Bihar.

e-Office

The project aims to improve productivity, quality and increase transparency by replacing the old manual process with an electronic file system.

MSDG

Mobile Service Delivery Gateway (MSDG) is the core infrastructure for enabling the availability of public services in through mobile devices.

Sec LAN

Sec LAN is a Local Area Network for all the Government office in and around Secretariat with connectivity to State Data Centre.
